We are looking for others who want to bring this simple idea to other communities. This is not meant to replace the Thanksgiving Baskets but rather add another opportunity to make a difference. It is very simple to touch hearts and we will support, train you, or whatever you need to make it happen. Its so very simple. Write some Valentines, get some goodies, and drop them off at local shelters, just as one of many possibilities. A simple thoughtful gesture makes a huge difference to a completely forgotten group. If you don't know where to find these Women and Children, I will help. Sadly you will be astonished at how many there are in your area. Yet you can make a difference. Reach out and I will help to get you going and it can start small :).

2021 We are back. On Valentine’s Day in the Boston and Southern NH, or any where we can get to in the country, we deliver Valentines Day baskets to women and children living in shelters and the elderly in need. Rather than being honored on Valentine’s Day, as they should be, they are in despair. Many are alone and/or abused victims of domestic violence and some even sex trafficking. This year we will deliver 500+ baskets to homeless woman and children and elders in the Boston area. The baskets have needed items such as toiletries, socks, mittens, toys, books, and yes some candy. This has a huge impact on an overlooked group. You too can brighten up even more families in your area! It's a simple idea and I hope you borrow. You can start on a small scale with a dozen baskets. The baskets can be inexpensive or more elaborate as contents can vary. While we chose homeless woman and children, you can also be flexible and serve a homeless veterans, elders in senior citizen home, men, ect. Maybe you know some local shelter This idea is so simple and can be done anywhere. I am happy to help get you going. We do hundrds which is work, but a few dozen is easy breazy.

2020, we had about 20 volunteers this year. Valentines Basket Brigade was a tremendous success. Working with a group of friends, we raised a total of $2,500 and delivered 400+/- baskets to homeless women and children living in shelters, and homeless people trying to get back on their feet. The recipient programs were Middlesex Human Services, Granada House,n, Empath Shelter, Food Bank, and Genesis House, and more.. All of which are all 501c3 charitable organizations that provide a crucial public service helping people get back on their feet. The baskets contained new unopened products that we purchased, at wholesale, such as body wash, razors, shaving cream, combs/brushes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, body sprays, shampoos, conditioners, hair gel etc and also small toys, mittens, hats, and books for children of all ages. The feedback I received was truly heartwarming. These woman, children, and elders are largely ignored and we truly made their Valentines Day special. (FYI In Boston, we have a lot of food given out on Thanks Giving so we came up with this idea and its a lot of fun and huge impact. These womena and chiuldren are all but forgotten, until NOW :)

Last year we gave out over 60 Valentine’s Day baskets to women and children living in shelters trying to survive. This year, working with friends like YOU, our goal is to raise $1,000 and deliver 100, or more, baskets to the elderly in nursing homes, and homeless women and children WHAT WE NEED is CASH donations to buy products. The baskets must contain new unopened products so we purchase, at wholesale, products like nail polish, lotion, body wash, shaving cream, combs/brushes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, body sprays, shampoos, conditioners, hair gel, toys, mittens, hats, and books for children of all ages. We will also accept unopened products. We will take all the help we can get!! Note you can get a tax letter from the recipient programs. Over the next 2 weeks, I am diving for dollars to put together an order from a discount wholesaler so that it ships in time. Who is on board?

Knowing that so much good work goes in to the traditional holiday giving, I wanted to give Valentine’s Day baskets to unrecognized women and children that are homeless living in shelters trying to survive. Rather than being honored on Valentine’s Day, as they should be, these women and children will be in despair. Many are abused and victims of domestic violence. This year working with a group of friends and hopefully new friends like YOU, our goal is to deliver 100 (or more) baskets to Middlesex Human Services which serves homeless woman and children in the Waltham and Boston areas and Granada House serving Boston. WHAT WE NEED are unopened products such as nail polish, lotion, body wash, razors, shaving cream, combs/brushes, toothpaste, toothbrushes, deodorant, body sprays, shampoos, conditioners, hair gel etc and also small toys, mittens, hats, and books for children of all ages. In lieu of giving products you may also give money, raise money, ask your friends to give products, or even help assemble and/or deliver the baskets...We will take any help we can get!! Note for larger donations, I can get a tax letter from the recipient programs. Also note for the safety of the children we may or may not be able to personally deliver the baskets directly to the shelters. You can mail or deliver donations to me.
