On behalf of the Basket Brigade Organizers, We can't Thank You enough for everyone's help in the past year with the Basket Brigade. Last year because of your generosity we were able to feed over 3400 People in need in 2023. We were able to reach families in Westchester, Bronx, Brooklyn and Manhattan. We have to quickly spread the word and we urgently need your help to make this happen! We all have so much to be grateful for in our wonderful communities and isn't it great that we can afford to share from our surplus with others who may be less fortunate! All you need to do is print copies of this attached flyer and give it out in your community!!!! Please distribute it to your family, friends and neighbors. Post and leave copies at your churches, synagogues, stores you shop at often, restaurants, your gym etc. Please also e-mail it to people you know. Each year, the NYC Basket Brigade comes together as a team of 150 + volunteers to feed the underserved in New York. We provide them a full Thanksgiving meal for their family with a simple message that if they received value from the experience that they one day pay it forward and help someone else in need. Thinking of the children, mothers, fathers, and grandparents who would not be able to celebrate Thanksgiving the way most of us will - full of food and joy - is heartbreaking. With that, our focus changed to create an amazing experience for those families and children by personally delivering food baskets to them. In Brownsville, Brooklyn, where we have our 2nd main Basket Brigade event, you have the opportunity to meet these families in need directly at the location. Our Brooklyn Location is currently: Brownsville Partnership 519 Rockaway Avenue, 4th floor Brooklyn, NY 11212 Please DO NOT contact them directly, as we are just using their space for staging and assembly. We have no other affiliation and they may not know how to direct your inquiry.
