Hello everyone! We are 4 days away from our Thanksgiving Basket Brigade! Here is the schedule for the week: Thursday Oct 5 @ 11am - 8pm Set up, food sorting, packing etc. Friday Oct 6 @ 10am - ? Until we finish. food sorting, packing, writing cards, pick ups etc. We will be delivering 30 baskets to a school in massive need (Rexdale) at 12pm. If you’d like to assist, please meet us at 1 Old Mill at 10am to load up. Sat Oct 7 @ 8am - 10am - Delivery Day! All the baskets need to be loaded into the vehicles by 9:30am. Location for all 3 days: 1 Old Mill Drive - Party Room. (Jane and Bloor St West) Please call me if you have any questions. Cell # 647.272.5734 We are in need of drivers/volunteers to help on Sat. If you know of anyone who could help out, please let me know asap. These families are beyond grateful for our help this year. Kind souls, Thanksgiving is just a few short weeks away…. and our efforts are in full swing as we begin to prepare to feed those who are in desperate need of food for their family! Our goal is to hand-deliver 150 bountiful baskets of food including a frozen turkey, trimmings and our love on Saturday Oct 7th. This year will be extra special as we hope to surpass our goal and deliver our baskets to families with children in extreme need. A list of families has been collected by the school board, social workers and child psychologists in the GTA. Everything you need to know…. Prep days: Thursday Oct 5th & Friday Oct 6th - 11am - 8pm (both days) Delivery day: Sat Oct 7th @ 8am - 10am Location for prep and delivery days is 1 Old Mill Drive (Party Room) on the main level of the condo. There is a Green P on Riverview Gardens (across the main entrance to the condo). If there are any corporate or individual sponsors, schools who would like to donate, please let me know. We would be so appreciative of any help. Your time and effort is also incredibly needed to make this happen every year! There are not enough words to express our gratitude and appreciation for making the Christmas Basket Brigade an incredible success! Together we hand delivered 176 baskets of food, toys and hope to families in need in the GTA! These beautiful souls were so touched by our generosity. The stories and love that were shared this past Saturday is very hard to sum up in an email. It must be felt with the heart. I wanted to thank each and every one of you for your selflessness and noble gesture to help others in need. You trusted this organization and group of volunteers to fulfill our mission: to spread love to those in need and give them hope that one day they will be well enough to share this act of kindness with someone else in need. Our mission was accomplished above and beyond. A recipient from this past Thanksgiving Basket Brigade came to help us on Saturday….He came bright and early and was ready to help others in need as a way to give back for all the goodness he received from our group! Once we were done for the day, he also received a basket of food for his family. He arrived back to his building in the evening and decided to give up his basket to a family who he believed was more in need. This is a perfect example of some of the stories that were shared with us on Saturday…. Thank you for making this possible. Here is a video we made. It may feel like spring at the moment but....Christmas is just around the corner!! Before we get too deeply involved in our own holiday celebrations, I wanted to share our Christmas giving initiative with you. Last year we decided to get involved in Tony Robbins' Basket Brigade foundation. Simply put, we are a group of individuals who care about strangers and especially our less fortunate neighbours. We hand-deliver baskets of food, gifts and hope to families in need in our city. It is a chance for us to connect with these beautiful people and share a smile. We give them hope that one day they may be well enough to pass on this random act of kindness to someone else in need. Since Oct 2015, we have hand-delivered 256 baskets to needy families. As we are quickly approaching the season of giving, we are reaching out to you for help. Any donation would be incredibly appreciated. However, if you could also be present with us as we deliver the baskets of food, you will have the chance to experience the true meaning of Christmas. Living is Giving. With Love, Gaby

Thank you for your incredible support this past Thanksgiving! We were able to hand deliver 138 over-flowing baskets of food, trimming, pies, fresh bread, turkeys and especially lots of love! Our efforts are multiplying quickly and we plan to deliver 150 baskets at Christmas! Please mark December 17th in your calendars. It will be another memorable Christmas basket brigade. The beautiful summer air is cooling and Thanksgiving is just around the corner! We are so excited to be in the midst of organizing the Annual Thanksgiving Basket Brigade!! We will be personally, hand-delivering baskets of non-perishable food, frozen turkeys, all the trimmings along with love and hope to many families in need! Last year’s Thanksgiving and Christmas Basket Brigades were so incredibly touching and successful and I hope you will join us again to spread your love and generosity with the less fortunate. We delivered a total of 118 baskets! Below are the details: Thanksgiving Basket Brigade Date: Sat Oct 8th @ 9am - 12pm Meeting Location: 1 Old Mill Drive - Party Room (Ground/Main level of building) Parking: Across the street in Green P or Visitor Parking on P1 in building Donations: Food or Monetary donations must be received by Thursday Oct 6. The 1st Annual Christmas Basket Brigade was a massive success! Thanks to your kind hearts and selflessness, we were able to personally deliver 92 baskets of food, toys, gift cards and hope to families who needed our help. Your help, smiles and willingness to help others at this busy time of year is so appreciated. Without you, we couldn't have done this on our own. May you all be blessed with health, love and an undying desire to be of service to others. Hello Everyone!! The Christmas Basket Brigade will take place on Saturday December 12/15. We will meet at 1 Old Mill Drive in the party room on the main/ground level of the condo building. What a memorable and humbling Thanksgiving Basket Brigade! The donations were so incredible that we managed to feed 26 families! I had hoped to deliver 10 baskets, and we almost tripled that number because of your generosity. I am so grateful for all the help! Bless you all. Living is Giving.

We will be meeting at 9AM on Saturday October 10 at 1 Old Mill Drive in the dining room. It is located on the ground level of the condo. Parking - underground or across the street at the Green P. We will put the baskets together and start delivering them around 11am. Breakfast will be served for all the volunteers at 9am. Thank you again for your help!
