We teamed up with a middle school, elementary school and Anchorage Fire Department for Christmas baskets (the were actually awesome bags) and helped feed 26 families. Thanks to all of the donations and help we fed 162 people and a little chihuahua got a box of treats. Thank you Ty, Elizabeth and Alyx for helping deliver and tolerating a navigator that did a bit of backtracking! The families are grateful. The fire stations that participated were very pleased as they hand pick a family and are fierce about helping them, especially this time of year. Hopefully they will continue to help with our future brigades. Merry Christmas and lots of love to you all! Amy Jo

In addition to a Christmas meal, additions to each basket/bag will be some staples: cereals, soups, peanut butter...It is wonderful to give a dinner to those who might not have such a spread, but day to day sustenance can be an ever looming challenge. Thanks again for all of the interest, excitement and donations. You guys freakin' rock!

Per request, basket contents list: (in a reusable groovy striped bag for Christmas) Turkey or Ham with baking tin Veggies (green beans, corn, potatoes...) Stuffing and cranberry sauce (if turkey) Broth Rolls/cornbread Butter/eggs/milk Fresh fruit Juice Dessert (pie and/or cookies or brownie mix) Paper Towels/Toilet Paper

Our goal for Christmas is s to double what we were able to do for Thanksgiving. With donations and commitments already received, we will surpass that goal. How awesome is that!

Dear friends, Yesterday we were able to deliver 6 baskets full of goodies which will feed 52 people. This was absolutely amazing experience and I thank you all. Big shout to Amy Jo Bowler for taking her time and putting the baskets together, you did outstanding job. Happy Thanksgiving

Wednesday is delivery day for Thanksgiving. I am so excited and so grateful to Krista for sharing the families in need. Goal for Christmas: Double the number! Let me know if you have non-perishables that need to be stored until Christmas delivery. I am happy to pick them up from you to start sorting and prepping. Thanks for all the help!
