Now in our 22nd year of providing a complete Thanksgiving meal to those who would probably go without. We come together as strangers to help other strangers and leave having made new friends. Our hearts become full from giving our time, energy and love to share kindness and deliver hope to the families receiving our gifts.

BTW, I know it sounds like a cliche, but it has been true for me and my fellow TGBB Team Members (for all 20 Basket Brigades, 1994 - present) "When you give from your heart – and expect nothing in return – it fills your heart with joy!" I hope you can be part of the TGBB team. See you on the 23rd! John Sottery

The Connecticut Basket Brigade has been delivering baskets every year since 1994 on the weekend before Thanksgiving. Including this year, we will have hand delivered over 123 Tons of Food (and fed over 28,000 people). We work with several local agencies to find families that otherwise would be unable to have a Thanksgiving dinner. These agencies include the Family Centered Services of CT (formerly Coordinating Council for Children in Crisis – CCCC), The Yale Child Study Center, Cornerstone, New Haven Home Recovery and the Kennedy Center. From 1994 to 2002, we delivered baskets to about 130 families each year. Over the last six years – because of increased support from people like you – we have been able to expand the reach of the Basket Brigade and this year’s goal is 552 Families! Thank you for all your help and support – and I look forward to seeing you on Saturday, the 23rd of November, 2013. For more information, please visit www.CTBasketBrigade.org

Volunteers and Donations are needed for Saturday, November 23rd in Milford to build and/or deliver Thanksgiving Baskets to families in Greater New Haven. Last year, at our two CT basket brigades, we built and delivered baskets to 504 families – and this year we are feeding 552 families! Basket building starts at 9 am on Saturday (Nov 23rd) with deliveries starting as soon as the baskets are ready. This is a great way to give from your heart – and to help other families in our community. All ages can volunteer.
